Community, at your own pace.
It started in 2023 with a few people reading quietly together at Midnight Run Café. The idea was simple: enjoy the company of other readers without an assigned book or required discussion.
That first gathering grew into a community built around books, ideas, creativity, and conversations that help strangers feel less like strangers.

I started The Margins Club because I was looking for something I could not really find: an accessible, low-pressure community for people who love books, ideas, and creativity, without everyone having to participate in exactly the same way.
Quiet Reading Night started because I wanted somewhere people could be together without having to talk the whole time or join a traditional book club. Article Club came from wanting to sit with other curious people and talk about ideas that stayed with us. And our Fable book club became a slower, gentler way to read together, share thoughts as we go, and meet in person at the end.
I think every gathering is really trying to do the same thing: give people somewhere they can show up as they are, follow their curiosity, and feel a little more connected. That is what I mean when I say The Margins Club is not just a club. It is people choosing to show up, make room for one another, and build something together, one gathering at a time.
